THE
PREMISE
/ ABOUT TEACHING IS HARD... ESPECIALLY AT NIGHTYou stay late at school every night grading papers. It's quiet, it's routine, and it's safe. Until it isn't. One night, something changes. Someone is there with you, and the encounter feels too vivid to be a dream. The next morning, everything is normal. The night after, it happens again, different this time, more intense. You start finding evidence, a hair on your desk, lipstick on a page, answers on a test that read like messages meant for you. The grading itself becomes a detective layer, her answers evolving from innocent to suggestive to impossible to ignore. You tell yourself it's stress. You tell yourself you're dreaming. But the evidence keeps piling up, and the cope is getting harder to maintain.
