/ ONE DESK, EIGHT WORLDS

BUILT
SOLO

PocketDesires is one person. The code, the art, the writing and the sound across eight games, all of which run in a browser tab.

PocketDesires is the studio. CORN_ETO is the developer. They are the same one-person operation, and everything below is made by that one person.

The studio makes character-driven adult games where the systems are the point. A prison management sim with no currency in it. A visual novel that hides its mystery inside a grading minigame. A gacha where your thumb drives every frame of the scene instead of watching it play. They look like different games because they are, but they come from the same set of arguments about what a system should ask of a player.

Eight titles at once sounds unreasonable for one developer, and it partly is. What makes it survivable is that they share a foundation, a visual discipline, and a refusal to build anything that needs a team to maintain.

HOW THINGS
GET BUILT

01

The art is the screen

The interface floats at the edges and never covers the subject. Figures are anchored to one side with a gradient behind the text so it stays readable. It is a rule that lets art be produced without designing a bespoke layout around every piece.

02

One accent colour

A dark base and exactly one accent — amber over dark steel in CELLBLOCK, red on black elsewhere. Everything else differentiates by brightness, never by adding hues. It makes every UI decision faster because the question is only ever how bright.

03

Escalation is earned, not bought

No game in the catalogue has a button that purchases the next stage of a relationship. CELLBLOCK crosses tiers automatically from banked trust. Something Something requires you to read a mood correctly. I Found An App gates every session behind the bond before it.

04

Nothing is hidden behind a wrong turn

Choices change the order you see content, the mood of the character and the ending — not whether the content exists for you. Supporters paid for it. Locking scenes behind a wrong choice would be a bad trade.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Who makes PocketDesires games?

One person, working under the handle CORN_ETO. Every line of code, every frame of art, every piece of writing and all the sound across all eight titles. There is no team and no publisher.

Who is CORN_ETO?

CORN_ETO is the developer behind PocketDesires — the single person who builds every game in the catalogue. The studio name and the developer handle refer to the same one-person operation.

How can one developer maintain eight games?

They are not eight separate engines. Every title is built on the same foundation — React with a state store, a shared scene-authoring format, and one hard rule that art is the hero and the interface floats over it. New games start from a working base rather than an empty folder.

Why do all the games run in a browser?

No client, no launcher, no store approval and no patch day. It started as a reach decision. It matters for another reason now: a platform can remove a listing, but it cannot remove a link that someone already has.

What actually limits how fast games ship?

Writing and art, not code. The systems for a new title come together quickly because the patterns are established. STRANDED needs roughly five hundred scenes to be complete, and every one has to be written. That is why chapters ship monthly rather than all at once.
