The interesting design problem in this genre is what the currency actually is. In CELLBLOCK it is debt and compliance rather than cash, banked as trust until an inmate crosses one of five tiers. In Something Something it is naming a hidden mood from ten possibilities with three attempts per night. In I Found An App it is reputation earned in auto-battle, spent growing a sect across five levels. All three reward pattern recognition over grinding.
